Riversdale: Georgian Glass Travelling Exhibition. Mar 25, 2019 - Apr 25, 2019. Riversdale will host a display of the 40 pieces of Georgian glass (c. 1700-1840) from the Havelberg-Smith collection, bequeathed to the National Trust (NSW) in 2018. The collection highlights stylistic changes in English glass, driven by advances in technology Built in the late 1830s as a coaching inn, Riversdale later became home to the district surveyor, Edward Twynam and his family. Standing within its original paddocks and outbuildings, Riversdale is a fine example of a Colonial Georgian home surrounded by splendid gardens and picnic grounds. Riversdale's gardens boast iris, roses and the original orchard. Composed of a mixture of brick and sandstone, the building's most striking details are its copper dome and the handsome arched porch at the main entrance, flanked by loggias. Riversdale is a heritage-listed house in the early colonial Regency style located in Goulburn, New South Wales, Australia.The house was built in about 1840 and some of the outbuildings were constructed even earlier.
