Dunbeath estate totals 28,500 acres and offers some of the most beautiful topography in Scotland's great coastal wilderness with 12.5 miles of flowing rivers, 4 hill lochs, and approximately 4 miles of rugged coastline. Comprising moorland, riverside and coastline, the impressive estate presents a rare combination of sport, fishing, farming Dunbeath Castle is in the far north east coast of Scotland overlooking the Moray Firth. Dunbeath is around 2 hrs drive (83 miles) from Inverness and 1 Hr drive to John O'Groats. The castle is privately owned and not open to the public. The gardens can be visited during the annual garden open day which is usually in August, or by arrangement Dunbeath Strath provides a walk with a fine variety of interest.
