Pursuant to the Community Redevelopment Act of 1969, the CRA was created in 1982 to untertake activities and projects that would eradicate conditions of slum and blight. The extension provides the SEOPW CRA the opportunity to continue serving the community, in our efforts to eliminate slum and blighted areas within its boundaries. Which, Overtown has been designated as a Last Thursday, the Southeast Overtown/Park West Community Redevelopment Agency board, which sees Commissioner Keon Hardemon as its chair, approved a resolution that would extend the life of the CRA from 2030 to March 2042.
