Carb question - Edelbrock vs. Quadrajet. Sorry for the long post, but wanted to share as much relevant info as we could. Currently we're running a Edelbrock 1406 and Performer intake which came on the car. We kitted the carb and have tuned it so it runs well - for the most part. Starts up fine when cold and when hot unless it sits and goes Having said that, you will have a few issues and modifications when switching over. The Edelbrock is a square bore, while the QJet is a spread bore. You may or may not need an adapter - depending upon your intake manifold.
