The MPhil/PhD International Relations is part of the group of accredited programmes for ESRC funding. Social policy at LSE is about the development, design, analysis, and evaluation of public policies. We cover a wide range of policy areas including crime, education, migration, population, social disadvantage, inequalities, and social security. The issues underpinning our work are global in application. The MPhil/PhD Programme aims to foster your scholarly and career interests and to prepare you for the world of academic and policy research in the form of courses, workshops, and professional training experience over your first three years. You will receive core gender theory, epistemology and methodology training in your first year to prepare MPhil/PhD Philosophy. The Department of Philosophy, Logic and Scientific Method is a world-leading centre for research in three broad areas of philosophy: rational choice theory and formal epistemology; philosophy of science; and moral and political philosophy.
