Curar sindrome sudeckジストロフィー
Sudeck's atrophy. Complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) is also known as Sudek's atrophy and reflex sympathetic dystrophy (RSD). It describes the presence of regional pain after a harmful event. The symptoms and signs - usually in the limbs - are excessively severe and inappropriately prolonged given the magnitude of the original injury.
Sudeck's atrophy (a.k.a. complex regional pain syndrome) often occurs in the setting of prolonged disuse of a region of the body - the feet and hands being prime sites. Plain film features include: diffuse periarticular osteopenia. maintained joint spaces. soft tissue swelling. The appearances are rather "Aunt Minnie" in nature, especially in
Terminology. Two forms of complex regional pain syndrome have been described 8:. type 1: no underlying single nerve lesion (formerly known as reflex sympathetic dystrophy) and considered the commonest type 21 type 2: underlying nerve lesion identified (formerly known as causalgia) Patients often have both types present. Epidemiology. Complex regional pain syndrome is principally a clinical
Complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS Type 1 and Type 2) is a severe form of chronic pain, in which pain from a physical trauma outlasts the expected recovery time. The symptoms of types 1 and 2 are the same except type 2 is associated with nerve injury. Usually starting in a limb, CRPS manifests as pain, swelling, limited range of motion, and/or changes to the skin and bones.
Many names have been used to describe this syndrome such as; Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy, causalgia, algodystrophy, Sudeck's atrophy, neurodystrophy and post-traumatic dystrophy. To standardise the nomenclature, the name complex regional pain syndrome was adopted in 1995 by the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP).
