Hakan Günday was born in 1976 on the island of Rhodes in Greece and currently lives in Istanbul. He is the bestselling author of eight novels, which have been published in nineteen territories. More received Le Prix Medicis Etranger 2015 and his novel The Few was named Best Turkish Novel of 2011. His novel Ziyan (Loss) was a finalist for the Prize Lorientales 2015 in France and was awarded Zeynep Beler.
