Bistro Deluxe by Paul Tamburrini . We were commissioned by Paul Tamburrini to create the design for his first stand alone restaurant within the Macdonald Holyrood hotel in Edinburgh, Scotland. The brief was to create a casual yet upmarket dining experience which gave an emphasis to the contemporary style of food created by Paul.Paul Tamburrini has had an illustrious career so I was looking forward to experiencing some of his finest creations, paired with hand-selected wines by the in-house sommelier. I was not disappointed. The service, in particular, was outstanding at Paul Tamburrini located at the Macdonald Holyrood in historic Edinburgh. It was both friendly and or indeed said not to have said - and if at such a moment he looks at his watch and thinks,"Time for lunch", then his remedy is now at hand, for it is only a few short steps from Bute House, Charlotte Square, Edinburgh, to the premises of The Honours, a restaurant recently set up in North Castle Street by Mr Martin Wishart.And once he sneaked into the long dining room of this restaurant Paul Tamburrini, chef director of the Honours in Edinburgh, talks about his role at the Edinburgh eatery, working with Martin Wishart, the team and his love Cheese was an elegant flower of Tête de Moine, which Tamburrini had the sense to allow to speak for itself, unadorned, served with a lovely Sautern.
