The village is situated about a quarter of a mile off the road between Dunster and Taunton, and has a Druid circle at High Dumbledon, formed of rude stones, with two cairns near it. It is situated on the cliffs of the Bristol Channel, and on the road from Williton to Lynton. The parish contains the hamlets of Bratton, Periton, Vineford, and Woodcombe. Williton, in Somerset is a small town, home of West Somerset Council, situated on the junctions of the A39 and A358 roads from Minehead to Bridgwater and Taunton respectively. It boasts a number of shops, 2 small supermarkets, several pubs and a library.
