It is only 4 miles from central London but it feels like 4,000 miles from the bustle of the city. The Heath covers roughly 790 acres (about 360 hectares) and runs along a sandy ridge between Highgate to the east and Hampstead to the south-west. The Hill, c 3ha, is located to the north of Hampstead, on the eastern edge of the West Heath area of Hampstead Heath. Inverforth House and The Hill gardens are bounded by North End Way to the east, Inverforth Close to the north and the Heath to the north (beyond the Close), west and south. The gardens are enclosed by fences.The course is 5000m (5k) long. This has been accurately measured by us with a professional measuring wheel. The course is on Hampstead Heath and run on woodlands paths and concrete. Some sections of the course may accumulate mud, leaves and puddles after rain. Dependent on availability, marshals will be at key sections of the course, or signs Hampstead Heath. Hampstead Heath is a pretty huge park so I would suggest deciding whether you want to visit the famous Kenwood House- a 17th century Country House or whether you want to see the view of the city from Parliament Hill.
