Students will participate in a five-week online learning experience this summer, administered by NASA and taught from faculty from campus. The Utica campus, formerly Utica Junior College, was founded in 1903 as Utica Normal and Industrial Institute and is the oldest of Hinds CC's six locations. Utica Junior College merged with Hinds Community College in 1982 but retains its Historically Black College & University (HBCU) designation and traditions.
