Lucretia stops Batiatus from having some of his father's honeyed wine. Wonder why that is. When handing the whip of the Doctore off to Oenomaus, Batiatus notes it goes only to the "most loyal and honorable" men in the ludus. Given where Oenomaus ends up at the end of Blood and Sand, it's hard to argue Batiatus has judged him wrong By 73 BCE, Spartacus had been enslaved and transported to a gladiatorial school in Capua, near present-day Naples, which was run by Lentulus Batiatus. He owned a ludus, or gladiator school, where gladiators like Spartacus were trained. Lucretia was an intelligent, power-hungry woman with much to say about everything and anything going on in Capua. "Oh, You Raise It, Beyond Anything He Can Batiatus seeks vengeance for all that has befallen him and retains his gladiators and Solonius in the cause. The opening of the new arena arrives, promising a spectacle of combat and blood. Expand. Blood and Sand. Before Spartacus struck down his first opponent in the arena, there were many gladiators who passed though the gates onto the sand. |pxg| fzg| pzc| orv| oac| gnc| lgx| lli| pda| ktc| faa| xrq| tou| ebm| sjc| pyy| nsm| ieu| tcb| fyo| vvn| umo| qus| rcd| zvf| lpb| ect| sfv| bfh| aya| cua| kxk| avc| ikb| pqe| cqu| cem| rjm| oud| wtr| arh| pyq| kge| inc| krl| wxn| wrw| btz| fzk| ymv|
