Nieuwegein (Dutch pronunciation: [ˌniu.əˈɣɛin] ⓘ) is a municipality and city in the Dutch province of Utrecht.It is bordered on the north by the city of Utrecht, the provincial capital.It is separated from Vianen to the south by the river Lek and borders on IJsselstein in the southwest and Houten in the east. Nieuwegein has 64,606 inhabitants as of 1 December 2021. Triumph's "Allied Forces" album is being celebrated with a Medium Rare episode of the syndicated radio show In The Studio With Redbeard: The Stories Behind History's Greatest Rock Bands. Allied Forces is the fifth studio album by Canadian hard rock band Triumph, released in 1981. It reached #23 on the Billboard Pop Albums chart assisted by the singles "Magic Power" and "Fight the Good Fight," which hit #8 and #18, respectively, on the US Mainstream Rock chart of 1981. The title song was the first single from the album which was released a month before the album came out. A Triumph were frickin' hot in 1981. "Allied Forces" is a work-out before Triumph lets loose some more serious epic material. "Fight the Good Fight", impressive itself, is followed by "Blinding Light Show / Moonchild". This is just a solid 15 minutes of compositional and instrumental brilliance. The tribute version of the song Allied forces on the flip side is pretty cool,but I would rather have had another rare live track from the Triumph vault. Overall its a quality box set.
