Difficulty: C1 Elevation Gain: +829m, -221m Key Elevations: Trailhead 1300m. The high point at 10.16kms - 2015m. End 1908m Distance: 12 km one-way. Out and back trail. Time: 4 hours biking Season: July 15 to September Access: Good 2WD low clearance 2011. This is a purpose-built mountain bike trail constructed by bikers for bikers. A great trail with magnificent views, abundant wildflowers, and excellent riding. The trail climbs from a cutblock up through an impressive mountain hemlock subalpine forest and into alpine meadows, cresting on rolling Frisby Ridge with views in all directions. From the trailhead (1330m) follow the trail as it climbs 700m gently but steadily for about 10 kms to the high point (2030m). There are 2 viewpoints, one at 5.5 to the east looking over Revy, and another at 7.2km to the west look over the Monashees, if you wish to take a break and make a short walk. Continue from the high point of the trail, if Revelstoke Snowmobile Club's involvement with mountain caribou recovery dates back almost four decades. Beginning in the mid-1980s at Frisby Ridge, the Club has been at the forefront of local caribou recovery initiatives. This includes holding a Management Agreement with the Ministry of Environment to demonstrate our commitment to preserving Mountain biking on Frisby Ridge offers a flowy singletrack alpine experience, extending for 12 km along a ridge.
