Obituary. Eugene R. Whitten, retired St. John's barber and owner of Eugene's Hair Styling, passed away Monday, April 20th, 2020 at the age of 82 following a difficult battle with Parkinson's disease. Our thoughts are with you all during such a difficult time. I have such special memories growing up and Mr. Whitten was a big part of Stephen (Steve) Randolph Whitten passed away in the comfort of his home on the morning of December 30, 2021 at the age of 72. Steve was born in Duncan, OK to Jerry Don Whitten and Betty Lois Whitten at the Lindley Hospital on January 22, 1949. Steve graduated from Duncan High School in 1967 and then earned bachelors and masters degrees from The Obituary. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear husband, father and grandfather, Milton Whitten, age 90, at St. Patrick's Mercy Home on Wednesday, April 1, 2020. Predeceased by parents Robert and Margaret Whitten, mother and father-in-law Frederick and Lucilla Chafe, brothers Clyde, Gordon (Dot), Jack (Edith Aaron Scott Whitten. Aaron Scott Whitten, 33, of Woodbine, GA passed away on December 24, 2023 at UF Shands in Gainesville, FL. Aaron was born on November 29, 1990 in Birmingham, AL to Scott and Connie Jo Brown Whitten. He graduated from Camden County High School class in 2009 and from Georgia Southern in 2014 with a Bachelor's degree in The Whitten family of funeral homes has served the greater Lynchburg area for more than 80 years. Whitten Funeral Home was established in 1937 by W.C. "Red" Whitten at the original location on Park Avenue in Lynchburg.
