Supplemental Award $50,000 Focus Area Capacity Building | Collaboration Statewide Prevention Conference. On October 4, 2021, the West Virginia Alcohol Beverage Control Administration (WVABCA) used its NABCA award to partner with Community Connections, Inc. to hold its inaugural Education, Enforcement and Prevention Conference, a statewide substance use prevention event, with a particular safety, and good morals of the people of West Virginia. During the WVABCA's first 56 years of existence, the WVABCA functioned as the exclusive wholesaler and retailer of liquor in West Virginia; non-fortified wines were "privatized" in 1981. On February 27, 1990, Senate Bill337 discontinued the retail sale of alcoholic beverages by the State. This Senate Bill 534 is the 2023 omnibus alcohol reform bill advanced by the West Virginia Alcohol Beverage Control Administration (WVABCA), which addresses important changes relating to the regulation of alcohol manufacturing and licensure requirements.
