Knuckles' Chaotix, known as simply Chaotix (カオティクス, Kaotikusu?) in Japan, is a spin-off platform video game in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It was developed and published by Sega for the Sega 32X, making it the only Sonic game to ever be released on that system. It was released in April 1995 in North America and Japan, and saw a European release in June of the same year. In Knuckles' Chaotix is a 32X mascot platformer developed and published by SEGA in 1995. Also, the new 32X and Saturn systems were gaining more and more attention, so the time had come to make their ''flagship'' game for the new systems. Knuckles' Chaotix, was the game for Knuckles Chaotix was a game that started its life as a project to bring the Sonic series back to the top of the charts by any means necessary. The 32X was needing something big to help push sales, Sega wanted Sonic back, and there was a demo code of a prototype Sonic game running through their Japanese offices.
