[2] There, he studied chemistry at the University of Strasbourg , graduating in 1994 and obtaining a doctorate from the same institution in 1999. Dr. Daniel P. Funeriu is a researcher by training. In 1999 he received his PhD in chemistry from the University of Strasbourg, under the guidance of Nobel Laureate J.-M. Lehn. After holding research positions at the Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, California, and the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology Research Areas.
