Branded the Ride and Read initiative, Bexar County's all-digital public library, BiblioTech, is partnering with VIA Metropolitan Transit to provide public transit users free access to more than 40,000 e-books and other media to enjoy on their bus routes. At VIA's Centro Plaza Wednesday morning, representatives from both organizations BiblioTech has many active learning platforms. LinkedIn Learning offers over 10,000 online courses in business, software, technology, and creative skills, taught by experts in each industry. Log in with your BiblioTech card number and the password/pin you chose at registration. There is also an app and a step-by-step LinkedIn Learning Video Databases for Adult Learning. Several excellent database resources are available to you via the San Antonio Public Library. Just log in to the databases when prompted with your library card number and password. Learning Express Library provides online academic and career practice tests and full-texts of test prep books. The Gardens at San Juan Square, a San Antonio Housing Authority community, agreed to provide the space for BiblioTech at $1 a year. SAHA plans to open a similar BiblioTech location in a the Eastside this time next year.
