To enable this you have to use a MySQL database to which both the control panel and the daemon on the remote machine can connect. When first accessing your server you will be presented with the page below. From here you can manage and configure a number of things about your server. Make sure that you click on "Save" after making changes on this page to ensure they are preserved.On your server page, select Advanced > Sub Users on the left menu. In the box above the Username column, enter the username that you want to assign a role or FTP access to and press Enter. Select the FTP access level and server role from the drop-downs next to the user name.
