A LUDLOW bakery has moved into new premises as it proves that small businesses can thrive. Richard Swift, who has a family bakery business in Ludlow and Tenbury, as well as at Craven Arms and Clee Hill, has just moved into a larger shop in Corve Street. The family had a shop in Ludlow's Parkway for more than 25 years but has now expanded into Swift's Bakery. Our bakery creates its doughs from scratch which basically means we take basic ingredients and produce our doughs from there. This can be quite time consuming as with some doughs it can require pre-fermentation before making and a B.F.T. (Bulk Fermentation Time) after mixing.
