Heerte ist einer der insgesamt 31 Stadtteile der kreisfreien Stadt Salzgitter in Niedersachsen, gelegen in der Ortschaft West. Heerte gehörte bis zum 31. März 1942 zum Landkreis Wolfenbüttel und wurde durch einen Verwaltungsakt am 1. April 1942 ein Teil der Großstadt Watenstedt-Salzgitter. Am 23.
