Ninety-eight artists from the U.S. and across the globe are expected to attend the 50th Prix de West, bringing over 300 original works.. Guest artists Grant Redden and D. LaRue Mahlke will be in Prix de West. In 1973, the National Academy of Western Art (NAWA) was organized to showcase work in the tradition of artists such as Charles M. Russell and Frederic Remington. Awards and cash prizes were given each year, the highest of which was called the Prix de West.
