Ideal for walkers who want a mixed city and nature walk near the city. This trail covers part of the Heverlee forest, rich in red oaks and with one of the oldest deer populations in Flanders. The trail then circles the many lakes with a few restaurants for a well-earned rest. In het Zoetwaterpark kunnen kinderen zorgeloos spelen en ravotten. Het is heel het jaar geopend en gratis toegankelijk. Honden aan de leiband zijn toegelaten. Het gemeentelijk recreatiepark heeft een skatepark, met o.a. enkele quarter pipes, een pumptrack en een minigolf. Zoet Waterwandeling (Les étangs des Eaux Douces, promenade de 4.5 km) Baladez-vous le long des berges des 5 étangs des Eaux Douces, entre le bois d'Heverlee et la forêt de Meerdael. Visitez la magnifique chapelle Notre-Dame de Steenbergen, et goûtez l'eau de la source de Zoete waters (Sweet Waters) A great recreational park with a wonderful terrace. Combine it with a walk around the 5 Sweet Waters lakes, on the edge of Heverlee Wood and the Forest of Meerdael. It is a majestic forested area of straight avenues and winding paths.
