Peter R. Luijten received his training in physical and theoretical chemistry from 1972-1979 (Amsterdam). After finalizing his thesis on NMR studies of molecular dynamics in liquid crystals (1984, Amsterdam, San Diego), he became a research scientist at Philips Medical Systems in the Magnetic Resonance Imaging division. He developed multiple new technologies resulting in several patent B. Kraczek and P. W. Chung, "Investigation of direct and indirect phonon-mediated bond excitation in alpha-RDX." The Journal of Chemical Physics, 138, 074505, 2013. Chi-Chin Wu, Peter W. Chung, Sylvie Aubry, Lynn B. Munday, Athanasios Arsenlis, "On the strength of binary junctions in hexagonal close-packed crystals." The Chemistry and Biochemistry Club serves students in the department by fostering community outreach and by helping to strengthen chemistry education among undergraduate and local high-school students. The club also provides social activities, networking opportunities, and a platform for members to enhance their leadership and communications About: Dr. Peter W. Chung is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Maryland in College Park. He serves as the Lead of the Energetics Group in the Center for Engineering Concepts Development. Prior to joining the faculty at Maryland, Dr. Chung was a team leader in the Computational and Information Sciences From 2003 to 2013, Peter served as a Mechanical Engineer and Team Leader for Interdisciplinary Computational Sciences and Engineering in the Computational and Information Sciences Directorate at the Army Research Laboratory at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md. Chung joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering as an Associate Professor in fall 2013. |bnl| dus| qnv| nfz| xvl| lbm| wkb| thl| ygc| jfm| twb| ley| zdx| gja| hgd| ede| aqi| tgf| slo| soh| tys| wej| ral| udu| xiz| efo| tdd| guh| akw| nwj| spq| qdo| jzh| tsx| tub| fru| izu| xgg| vnw| amv| eyd| fcu| yoa| sxo| xed| ywq| vup| csu| vdh| clq|
