Framfield is a village and civil parish in the Wealden District of East Sussex, England. The village is located two miles (3 km) east of Uckfield; the settlements of Blackboys and Palehouse form part of the parish area of 6,700 acres (2,706 ha). History. This was the village pound, used to pen stray cattle and sheep, the owners paying a fine to retrieve their livestock. The date is given as 19th century but it seems to have used 17th- and 18th-century brick and stone, possibly Isfield is a preserved railway station on the closed section of the Wealden Line which served the East Sussex village of Isfield near Uckfield. Originally opened in 1858, the station closed in 1969 and was sold into private hands in 1983 to subsequently become the current centrepiece of the Lavender Line, a heritage railway. Introduction. The 1st edition Ordnance Survey map shows the site laid out in Victorian landscape style with two ponds.
