The Alpharetta Big Creek Greenway, or known locally as "The Greenway", is a linear park that stretches from Mansell Road in the south to Union Hill Park in the North, parallel to Big Creek. The Greenway was initially conceived of in the 1980s, with the latest portion of the Greenway being completed 2-3 years ago. There are plans to connect the Alpharetta Greenway to Forsyth County's Portion of New Video of the Big Creek Greenway Extension in Alpharetta! You can now walk, ride, roll or ride between Marconi Drive and Union Hill Park. The Big Creek Greenway is a roughly 8-mile stretch of paved trail that runs from its northern Marconi Drive entrance in Alpharetta down to Old Alabama Road in Roswell. There is also an extended bit of the Greenway a little further north in Forsyth County, though these two trails do not connect. The trail is a fantastic way to exercise, to get 2-Outdoor classroom. 3-A small group pavilion with picnic tables (complete with a piano) is available on a first come, first serve basis. 4-Restrooms with water fountain. 5-Benches for resting along the trail. 6- Environmentally friendly. If you love a peaceful relaxing natural environment then this park is for you.
