The South Florida Duathlon Series starts up this Sunday, January 23rd at 7:00 a.m. at CB Smith Park in Pembroke Pines. Click here for online registration for the first duathlon. Race day registration and packet pickup open at 5:30 a.m. The course consists of a 1.65-mile run, 11-mile bike, then another 1.65-mile run. When Charlie Futrell crossed the finish line at last weekend's Central Florida Duathlon Series in Clermont, he stepped into the USA Triathlon record books. Futrell, 90, a resident of the Villages, Fla., became the oldest male competitor to finish a USAT-sanctioned duathlon. He completed the race in a time of 2 hours, 9 minutes and 7 seconds The focus of the Duathlon Series is giving beginners a safe and fun entry into multi sport. 2023 will be the 27th consecutive year of the Duathlon Series!
