Program Goals. This minor in graphic design provides students with an overview of graphic design, artistic principles and methods, and the technical skills needed to be a successful graphic designer. This is a great program for students in business or communication arts to be more in touch with their artistic side. The Watercolor & Graphic Arts Society of Mobile is one of the oldest arts organizations in the state of Alabama. It began on June 5, 1948, as simply "Watercolor Society of Mobile" as an outgrowth of the Bayou Painters group.
