Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan is an initiative by the Government of India that focuses on establishing the Universalisation of Elementary Education in the country. It came into effect from 2000 to 2001, in a time-bound- focussed manner and was also specified under the constitution. However, the time has been extended indefinitely.
