The Salutation is one of Manchester's most historic pubs - thriving right in the heart of the Oxford Road Corridor for over 200 years. The Temple. Originally called The Temple of Convenience owing to its former life as a public toilet block, this is a tiny bar with some of the finest bathroom graffiti in town. It shows how between 6am and 9pm, Oxford Road will be closed to general traffic between Hathersage Road and Grosvenor Street, and between Whitworth Street and Portland Street.
