Lake Eucumbene is the largest reservoir in the Snowy Mountains Scheme and the central connection between the northern and southern halves of the scheme. It has a total capacity of 4,798 GL, which is nine times the volume of Sydney Harbour, and an average depth of 30 metres. The closest boat ramp to access the lake is only 19.3kms from our park. Lake Eucumbene in the beautiful Snowy Mountains is located around 40 kilometres from Cooma at its closest point. It sits at an elevation of 1200 metres above sea level making it a pristine alpine lake. The closest town to Lake Eucumbene is Adaminaby.
