Here we present the first comprehensive investigation of microseisms generated by the 2014 super typhoon 'Kalmaegi', through multi-instrument observations including terrestrial and ocean-bottom seismic stations as well as moored ocean buoys on the typhoon track (Fig. 1), along with numerical modeling of wind fields, ocean waves, and DF microseism sources via a coupled atmosphere-ocean At 10 a.m. EST (1500 UTC) on Nov. 13, the Joint Typhoon Warning Center or JTWC noted that Kalmaegi was located near latitude 13.5 degrees north and longitude 128.0 degrees east, about 439 nautical miles east of Manila, Philippines.
