c.1973 Dalesman 122cc Trials MotorcycleEngine no. 5763467. Founded in Otley, West Yorkshire by Peter Edmundson, Dalesman made '125' trials bikes from 1968 to 1974. Dalesman started with Austrian Puch engines, using four-speed followed by six-speed units, then switched to Sachs power towards the end of production. The Puch Maxi moped was a good example, as in 1969 they produced 1.8 million of them, but we must wind the clock back a few more years to 1966 which is really where the Dalesman story begins.
